Mr. ChungYi Chen, founder of Carato, believed that children are the most innocent beings, and deserves at the very least a safe, healthy environment to grow up in; therefore contributing to improve those efforts is essential to our society. Since 1982, he continuously donated under his mother's and Carato FJC's names to Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, and was a frequent donor to Beacon of Faith Home for Youth Foundation in Keelung, which provides shelters to youths in need. Carato FJC has also been providing Brilliant Performer Scholarships to the annual Jazz Summer Workshop organized by National Theater & Concert Hall since its 2nd installment in 2009, hoping to encourage young musicians forging careers in music and to promote the art of jazz in Taiwan.
